Miss Molly's Diner blends the welcoming vibe of a classic family diner with a surprising Lebanese flair nestled in Ottawa’s west end. Located on Laperriere Avenue, it draws a steady crowd, especially during breakfast and brunch hours, from locals craving hearty, honest plates and some Middle Eastern-inspired dishes that stand out amid traditional diner fare.

The atmosphere feels comfortably no-frills but warm—think standard 50s diner booths, a well-worn counter, and a steady hum of chatter on weekend mornings. It’s the sort of place where the staff quickly get your order right, even when the room is buzzing, and where accommodating dietary needs doesn’t slow down the friendly service.

What really anchors Miss Molly’s is the menu’s blend of familiar and distinctive. You can start your day with generous portions of classics like eggs, bacon, home fries, or a croissant breakfast sandwich, but you’ll also find bold Lebanese-inspired options like Shish Taouk sandwiches and Beef Shawarma wraps. The Fatoush salad and Lebanese Markouk sandwiches bring refreshing, tangy flavors, balancing the richer diner staples. For those who want something heartier in the evening, the Turkey Dinner offers a homestyle touch away from the breakfast-centric expectations.

The breakfast potatoes consistently earn a nod for their crispness and comforting familiarity. For those with a sweet tooth or looking to round out their meal, the chocolate pudding and some of the more unique menu items like the bulgogi breakfast platter offer an unexpected twist.

Miss Molly’s is great for anyone seeking a casual, sizable meal without fuss—whether you’re after a leisurely weekend brunch, a quick breakfast stop on a weekday, or a low-key dinner featuring Lebanese flavors. It’s a spot where you’ll often encounter repeat customers comfortable with the no-pressure seating and steady, reliable service.

If you’re visiting, mornings to early afternoons seem best as the diner fills up quickly, especially on weekends. Its blend of diner nostalgia and Lebanese warmth creates a familiar yet pleasantly distinct neighborhood experience.

Miss Molly’s Diner: Where Breakfast Poutine Dreams Come True When we go to brunch, what is it we’re looking for? A bit of sweet; a bit of savory; a bit of warmth; a lot of love. And what about poutine? One of Quebec’s proudest exports - the crunch of fries, the squeak of cheese, the waves of gravy, your eyeballs turning into shining Fleur de Lys (1). Now how many times have you left a brunch or a finished a ‘specialized’ poutine feeling disappointed? ‘What were they thinking?’ ‘Where do we go from here?’ Worlds collide at Miss Molly’s: brunch meets poutine, diner style. Sweet brown sugar infused bulgogi beef, in synchronicity with crispy potato, onion, and mushroom, kissing the hollandaise glaze. Eyes closed, sipping coffee between bites, you realize that you’ve found it: a non-traditional poutine that enhances rather than detracts from the glorious original (2). You may be tempted by the dozens of other delicious-sounding dishes, but trust in me: the bulgogi breakfast poutine transcends the rest of the menu (3), and I will certainly be coming back for more. Footnotes: (1) Symbole de la présence française en Amérique du Nord (2) Do you know how many other places will serve a poutine and just put in extra stuff on top of the cheese curds and gravy and say it’s a ‘[something]-style poutine’ without any regard for how well these auxiliary flavours mess with the already perfected and timeless Québecois creation? It is truly a masterpiece how well everything works together in the Bulgogi Breakfast Poutine. (3) This is an assumption because I’ve been once and so haven’t tried anything else but was clearly smitten, mmm yum

A nice place for having a breakfast, a huge portion that didn’t even finish it. The lady who served me were professional and friendly.

**Addition to first review** I’ve been back two more times. I’ve now had traditional bacon and eggs with the best fried potatoes around, the bulgogi breakfast platter…amazingly delicious! Today I had the Lebanese Shashuka….do yourself a favour and order this. The flavours are so incredible. Highly recommend everything so far. Looking forward to going for supper. First time visit and it’s a new favourite. The grillled potatoes with onions are potato perfection. Large portions. I’ll be back!

We’ve been to this restaurant a few times and always have a great experience. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and very accommodating to dietary restrictions. Even though it was busy, we were seated right away. I had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant with one egg (no lettuce) and a side of grilled potatoes, while my mom had the Suzy Q breakfast with grilled potatoes as well. Both meals were delicious and perfectly cooked.

I had breakfast at Miss Molly’s Diner and ordered the shakshuka with Armenian sausage. The portion was very generous and even came with an extra plate of fresh vegetables and warm pita. The food tasted authentic and was cooked to perfection. The service was excellent, the host was friendly, professional, and polite. I loved the whole experience, and it’s great to have such a wonderful spot right around the corner. Highly recommend!
